Sharona Glaser Ben Avraham

Sharona Glaser Ben-Avraham has a B.A., M.A. and A.B.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in Sociology with specialties in community organization and urban social planning. She grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., studied, lived, and worked in Philadelphia and has, for the past 36 years lived in Kfar HaRoeh in Israel.
Both in the U.S. and in Israel, she has managed urban renewal projects and directed community centers. She worked as a fieldwork instructor for B.A. students in Community Organization (Social Work) at Bar Ilan and Haifa University and in the Hebrew University for M.A. students in the program for Community Center Directors.
During all her working years, Sharon wrote progress reports, funding proposals, and newspaper articles. After her retirement, she began to try her hand at creative writing.
She is 70 years old, widowed and remarried, with 3 children, 21 grandchildren, and – so far – 6 great-grandchildren.
